Beacon Hill Nursery Pricing Structure
All fees are charged monthly in advance and must be paid into our account on the 28th of the month to which they relate. Fees are payable during periods of absence from the Nursery including sickness, holidays and during Public and Bank holidays. We are not able to accommodate swapping sessions due to absence from the Nursery. Closure due to severe weather conditions will not be refunded but we will make every effort to remain open.
Fees are calculated on the basis of the weekly charge for the session attended, multiplied by 38 (weeks) then divided by 12 (months) to establish a fixed monthly charge. Non-payment of the direct debit and late payments will incur a charge of £25 and payments still outstanding two weeks after due date will lead to a cancellation of the child’s place in our Nursery. We accept all government funding including FEET funding.
If you are eligible for funding, you will be able to claim this in the term after your child reaches nine months of age. We offer up to 15 hours free for all age groups as well as the extended 30 hours if eligible.
Funded only places are limited, and are prioritised for those only receiving Government assistance. These places typically have a long waiting list. A funded only place does not cover food and consumables, and therefore we will expect you to pay a voluntary contribution towards them, unless you are providing them for your child. Examples of a child attending 2 days per week with private hours and using free funded hours for 38 weeks of the year over all age groups:
3-4 year olds:
£67 x 2 x 38 / 12 = £424.33
Less 12 hours of funding = £243.96
Total= £1680.37pcm
2 year olds:
£73 x 2 x 38 / 12 = £462.33
Less 12 hours of funding = £357.20
Total= £105.13. pcm
Under 2’s:
£85 x 2 x 38 / 12 = £538.33
Less 12 hours of funding = £501.98
Total= £36.35pcm
Under 2’s – Private hours only:
£73 x 2 x 38 / 12 = £462.33
Total= £462.33 pcm

We offer up to 6 hours of funding for a full day, 3 hours of funding for a half day which is up to a maximum of 15 or 30 hours per week depending on eligibility and sessions attending.
Private hours are worked out over 38 weeks and divided by 12 months. This will give an overall monthly total.
Our fees
Term Time Only:
Nursery term dates are 38 weeks and we follow the Surrey County Council funded term dates.
Our free places are limited, and are prioritised for those receiving Government Assistance. Funded hours are provided to cover the basic provision of childcare and are not intended to cover the cost of other consumables, additional hours or additional activities.
To cover the essential and extra costs during these hours, we will ask for a voluntary contribution.
Invoices
Invoices will be sent out via email before the new term starts and payments are due on the 28th of each month.
Non attendance
Non-attendance for holidays, birthdays, family days out etc. will still be chargeable. If you have prolonged periods of absence the amount of funding being allocated may have to be reviewed as per the local authorities guidelines.
Cost for essentials & extras
Beacon Hill operates on an all-inclusive basis, which is reflected in our private fee. If you’re paying the private fee without any funding applied, it covers everything including breakfast and snacks.
Government funding is seriously insufficient. It is only calculated to cover the absolute basic cost of providing childcare, and does not cover the other costs of running a nursery, such as food, nappies, consumable items like sun cream and arts & Crafts materials, educational outings, special events, light, heat, etc. If you’re paying private fees with or without funding, this covers all costs including breakfast and snacks.
